As President, Vivek Malhotra provides leadership and guidance across all areas of Xcelerate Solutions. His deep understanding of technology and strong commitment to clients help maintain a focus on Xcelerate’s core values of trust, respect, and action in all project efforts.
Vivek brings more than 20 years of senior leadership and technical expertise across the government and commercial IT sectors to his current role. His forward-thinking approach adds unique value to every project Xcelerate supports, enabling the company to deliver innovative, mission-focused solutions that drive measurable results.
Vivek co-founded VMD Corp in 2002 and guided the company through more than two decades of successful growth before its strategic merger with Xcelerate in 2024.
Vivek previously held technical and management roles at leading firms, including ECS, L3 Technologies, Oracle, and Alcatel. He remains an active voice in the government contracting and IT communities, maintaining a broad network of relationships across federal agencies, industry partners, and the start-up ecosystem, and he is an avid technology investor and advisor to emerging companies in these and other sectors.
Vivek holds an MS in Computer Science from Johns Hopkins University and dual undergraduate degrees: a BS in Electrical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis, and a BA in Computer Science from Knox College.
