Phil Cunningham, Xcelerate Solutions’ VP for Strategy, is responsible for leading corporate expansion efforts into new client spaces and service offerings. Phil applies his deep knowledge and experience of business operations across the federal government to identify emerging requirements, align resources and teaming partners, and execute customer engagement strategies to develop solutions for complex or intractable customer problems.
Phil brings nearly 20 years of diverse experience in federal and commercial sectors, including with the Department of Defense,. His work to date includes: developing and executing technology and corporate investment strategy in commercial and federal spaces; leading several software development and cloud migration efforts within commercial and federal civilian environments, including knowledge, revenue, and logistics management systems; and planning, managing, and executing global business intelligence programs supporting anti-money laundering, supply chain security, and illicit business interdiction efforts. Phil is a decorated U.S. Army infantry veteran, having led combat troops in Baghdad and Baqouba, Iraq.
Phil completed his PhD in Economics at George Mason University, where his studies focused on monetary theory and industrial organization. He also holds an MBA from George Mason and a BS in both Chemistry and Biology from the College of William and Mary.
