With over 20 years of diverse experience in finance and accounting, Melissa brings deep expertise in financial reporting and analysis, capital management, and regulatory compliance, specializing in the federal contracting sector. Her career includes extensive work across multiple contract types and the full government cost submission lifecycle, including bottom-up preparation of complex incurred cost proposals.

Melissa is highly proficient in Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Her deep understanding of the intricacies of government contracting enables her to navigate complex regulatory environments while optimizing financial performance and operational efficiency. Prior to joining Xcelerate, Melissa held key financial roles supporting the growth and success of several government services organizations, where she built a reputation for precision and accountability.

Melissa holds a BS in Accounting from George Mason University and maintains an active CPA license in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
