Don Ross
Executive Vice President, Growth – Homeland Security and State Department
Don Ross brings over 25 years of award-winning experience in business development, service delivery, and profit and loss management to his role as the Executive VP of Growth and Business Development at Xcelerate Solutions. He has consistently driven revenue growth and led teams spanning business development, capture, proposal development, program operations, and client relations functions.
Throughout his career, Don has demonstrated exceptional leadership in high-profile roles. A former U.S. Marine Corps Major, he served as a Communications and Signals Intelligence Officer before becoming a Senior Executive for the Transportation Security Administration. He next served as the Federal Security Director of Washington Dulles International Airport, managing operations for over 700 personnel and leading efforts to streamline airport security procedures, enhance interdepartmental coordination, and thus improve transportation security standards.
Don’s contractor experience spans prestigious organizations, including Culmen International, IBM, Digital Management Inc., A-T Solutions, and GDIT. He has successfully managed portfolios involving the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, Federal Civilian Organizations, Foreign Military Sales, and Foreign Military Acquisitions.
Don holds a bachelor’s degree in government and a master’s degree in IT systems management from Norwich University. He further holds DAWIA Level 2 Program Management and Level 2 Test and Evaluation certifications.
