As President of Enterprise Vetting and Analysis, Brett Mencin is responsible for the performance and continued growth of all associated contracts. This diverse portfolio supports the Department of Homeland Security, Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency, the U.S. Army, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Office of Management and Budget, across the IC and other federal agencies.
In addition to supporting defense clients, Brett is also Xcelerate’s Chief Security Officer (CSO). In this role, he has created a robust framework for implementing information security strategies, policies, and procedures, and he ensures compliance with relevant regulations and manages Xcelerate’s overall security risk posture.
Brett has nearly two decades of experience directly supporting all facets of the Personnel Vetting mission, from reengineering business processes to consolidating various business and organizational functions across the Federal Government. He is a recognized Subject Matter Expert within this domain and has been a featured speaker at several industrial security conferences and councils.
Brett holds an MS in IT Management from the University of Virginia and a BS in Marketing and Real Estate from the University of Colorado at Boulder. He maintains several Agile development certifications, including Agile Coach and SAFe Agilist, and is an active member of the Professional Services Council (PSC).
