Jim Walsh brings over 30 years of experience in IT management and deep expertise in information security, cloud computing, compliance management, storage, virtualization, network security, and disaster recovery to his role as Xcelerate Solutions’ CIO. As a key member of the Xcelerate leadership team, Jim drives the continuous evolution of the company’s technology ecosystem—delivering innovative, cutting-edge solutions that support both its internal operations and mission-critical work for its clients.
Jim is a veteran of the U.S. Navy, where he served with distinction before beginning his career in IT. Prior to joining Xcelerate, Jim founded Advanced IT Services (AITS), a successful IT services provider and Value Added Reseller (VAR). He previously served as a Senior Systems Architect at Catapult Technologies.
Jim is an active member of the Project Management Institute (PMI), serves on the boards of two nonprofit organizations, and has had multiple designs and solutions published in Dell Power Solutions magazine. He is a trained ISO auditor for ISO 9001, 20000-1, and 27001, and he is currently working toward becoming a Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Certified Professional (CCP), to be followed by a CMMC Certified Assessor (CCA) accreditation.
