Mark Drever is the CEO and founding partner of Xcelerate Solutions. He is responsible for Xcelerate’s business strategy, investor relations, and daily operations. Mark has spearheaded Xcelerate’s exponential growth in the federal sector since its inception, most recently leading the 2024 acquisitions of VMD Corp and GDIT’s background investigation division.
Under Mark’s leadership, Xcelerate has earned multiple honors, including a Virginia Values Veterans certification, the Department of Labor’s HIRE Vets GOLD Medallion Award for four years straight, places on the Washington Business Journal’s 50 Fastest Growing Companies and Best Places to Work lists, and seven consecutive years on the Inc. 5000 List of America’s Fastest Growing Private Companies.
Mark brings 25 years’ experience to his current role, including as an Account Executive and Consulting Practice Leader at PricewaterhouseCoopers/IBM, where he built and managed a portfolio of over 30 federal programs.
Mark holds an MBA in Corporate Finance from the University of Georgia and a BA in Politics and Government from Ohio Wesleyan University. He is on the board of Patriotic Point and the Northern Virgina Chamber of Commerce. He has twice co-chaired St. Jude’s Washington D.C. Global Gala. Mark was named a “40 under 40” leader by the EnVest Foundation and the Washington Business Journal, a 2025 EY Mid-Atlantic Entrepreneur of the Year, and a finalist for WashingtonExec’s 2024 CEO of the Year.
